O CLOUDED VISION

O Clouded Vision
20/20 bleeding into another year

looking glass just as smeared
with the drained fluids of our lives

coated with the ash of wildfire
coated with the dust of drought

yet in the micro-ravine
of parched clay at the lakebed shore

a sprout emerges and seeking sun
dreaming of the gold blossom within
