KING of CROWNS

"King of Crowns (Self Portrait)" by Troy's Work Table. Carport chalking for Friday 21 October 2016.

Sidewalk chalk, charcoal, chalk pastels, moss.

---

When my back is acting up and (literally) tugging on my nerves, my face, head, and hands sometimes go numb. And it moves about at times. Shifts. But it often feels like I'm wearing a crown. An invisible crown of numbness.

So the crown became real. However, I was thinking more Jughead than royalty. Hence it being cocked a bit. (Plus, the collar of the pullover sweater I was wearing was upturned, like Jughead's collars sometimes are.)

---

The moss was added as the goatee, just as natural elements were incorporated into my death ritual chalk art pieces.
