After seeing various ikons at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Tacoma, and learning a bit more about their creation, TWT decided to "create" an ikon of the concept of ex nihilo. What does "out of nothing" creation look like? Does it look like the Word enfleshed in creation? Is it incomplete? These were the questions that churn beneath the image, like the Spirit soaring over the waters of chaos.
