Influences include playing cards; Hieronymous Bosch; Dimitris Mytaras; the poetry of Carol Ann Duffy, especially The Bees; and a piece of my own chalking from season 6 of Frost Park.

FROST PARK: MARYHILL DOUBLE (AND DOUBLE)
"Maryhill Double 2006" (left) and "Maryhill Double 2006 Mini Mirror Negative" (right) by Troy's Work Table. Frost Park Chalk Off 7:2. Friday 11 April 2014.

The weather for the second installment of the seventh season of the Frost Park Chalk Off was spectacular—sunny, in the low 60s, and only a slight breeze. More people also came out to chalk for this episode, which was nice. I don't need others there, but it is a bit strange to be chalking alone at an event intended for many.
---
My piece was inspired by one of the most interesting and intriguing pieces of art I have ever experienced, the Maryhill Double by Lead Pencil Studio. (And then it spontaneously spawned its own miniature mirror.)

FROST PARK: WARLOCKTOPUS
"Warlocktopus" by Troy's Work Table. Frost Park Chalk Off 7:1. Friday 04 April 2014.
---
The seventh season of the Frost Park Chalk Off had a slow start. Only three of us showed up to chalk. And it was a beautiful day!
TWT returned to a common theme of his—cephalopods—although with a style inspired by comic book artist Bill Sienkiewicz and one of the characters he (and Chris Claremont) introduced in The New Mutants.
